Meet our Board Certified Pediatricians
Dr. Laura Carson, MD
Dr. Laura Carson earned her Bachelor of Arts from Northwestern University and her Doctor of Medicine from The University of Texas Medical Branch. She completed her pediatric residency through Eastern Virginia Medical School and Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters.
Dr. Carson’s passion for pediatrics comes from the relationships she develops with children and their families. She believes parents gain confidence and reassurance when their pediatrician takes time to teach, answer questions, and provide thoughtful guidance. She created Milestone Pediatrics to offer care that is not confined to a brief office visit and to give every child the time they deserve. Dr. Carson has lived in Colorado since 2012 and enjoys hiking, biking, skiing, and traveling with her husband and two sons.
Dr. LuAnne Sperando, MD
Dr. LuAnne Sperando earned her Bachelor of Science from New Mexico State University and her Doctor of Medicine from the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine. She completed her pediatric residency at the University of New Mexico.
Growing up in New Mexico as the daughter of educators gave Dr. Sperando an early appreciation for working with families and helping children build healthy futures. She helped create Milestone Pediatrics to provide the personal care, accessibility, and convenience today’s families need while giving physicians time to listen and build meaningful relationships. Dr. Sperando has lived in Colorado Springs since 2008 and enjoys mountain biking, camping, skiing, and exploring the outdoors with her two children.
Dr. Eric Nau, MD
Dr. Eric Nau is an Iowa native who obtained both his Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Medicine from the University of Iowa. After completing his pediatric residency at Phoenix Children’s Hospital and his pediatric emergency medicine fellowship at Children’s Mercy Kansas City, Dr. Nau and his family relocated to Colorado in 2020.
Dr. Nau is dual board-certified in Pediatrics and Pediatric Emergency Medicine and has trained and worked at level I and level II pediatric trauma emergency departments. Before joining the Milestones Pediatrics team, Dr. Nau worked for 6 years as a pediatric emergency medicine physician at Children’s Hospital Colorado in Colorado Springs. When not working, Dr. Nau enjoys spending his time with his wife and kids hiking, camping, skiing, and traveling.
